My husband ordered this and he like it a lot. He gives it a "4 star" rating only because it is made of plastic and could therefore break if not handled carefully. He uses a laptop with 15.6" screen and it works well. The shipping and delivery from [...] was extremely quick - less than 48 hours from when I placed the order. Awesome!

This review is aimed to the creators of this product.

They describe that a 17" laptop can be used, and yes, but not in the angled position, and my computer, a Dell Studio 1749, takes a lot of space so it's hart to use a mouse or put a glass in the side.

Dell laptops have an angled front, so the part of this table supposed to keep the laptop over the table in the angled position can't hold it, so next time make this bigger, or create alternate ways to hold the machine.

The best thing is the couple of USB powered fans under the computer, this is where it gets the stars, cause it helps to keep the computer working cold.

Other thing to make better is that there is no way to keep the table open if you only hold it for one side. The hinge just let the table start closing. You need to hold it for both sides to move from one spot to other. Next time, make something like you did with the legs.

Got this yesterday and played with it a little but haven't used it very extensively yet.

First impressions:

1. it's surprisingly heavy - the listed weight of 1.49kg seemed unremarkable, until I realized that 1.49kg = *over* 3lbs (so, it's nearly as heavy as my MacBook!). not a deal-breaker, but I definitely won't be taking this when I travel.

2. the 'kick-stand' for the laptop riser section doesn't snap into place, it simply rests in place; the rounded end sits in a small divot in the main platform...so, if you bump the laptop riser section and push it upward at all, the kick-stand loses its footing and the riser collapses down to a flat surface again.

3. once you lift the laptop riser section into place, the center table hinge locks - theoretically, if you have the riser section lifted, you should be able to lift the entire table with one hand and it won't fold in half. *HOWEVER*, it's just better to use two hands: the table itself is over 3lbs plus the weight of your laptop adds up to be a pretty heavy thing to move with only one hand.

4. the legs seem awfully rickety; they lock into place securely but the legs themselves are made of thin/lightweight plastic. I'm more worried about the legs snapping in half because I moved the item to the side without lifting it clear of all of the blankets, etc. in bed vs. the legs not supporting the weight of the laptop.

5. the extensions on the legs are also suspect because the legs seem flimsy to begin with, and extending them to be longer seems like spitting in the wind.

Hopefully, my initial impressions are wrong and this will become a trusty, super-helpful accessory.

I'll update my review after I've had some time to use it.

9.25.2011: OK, I've had some time to test this out and it seems pretty sturdy overall; tried the USB-powered fans, too, and was surprised at how quiet they were in a daytime environment. Based on this, I'm confident in increasing my original rating from three to a solid four-stars.

Simple device, but it gets the laptop up where you have a better ergonomic position. Note that you need an external keyboard.

I already had one of these that I bought off a TV shopping channel and I loved it. I needed another one for a different desk and found the cheapest price here on Amazon.com. No electrical cords to plug in....simply use a usb port to attach it to your laptop and when your computer is on, the cooling fan automatically comes on. I love the adjustable height feature too. THIS IS AN AWSOME PRODUCT.....I LOVE IT!!!

This was a Christmas gift for daughter who had neck problem using her laptop working from home. No more neck pain for her. Elevates laptop to proper height...3 different heights possible..I also use one and find it very helpful with fan cooling over long laptop sessions. Company was great in delivery of daughter's item on time for holiday gifting.

The initial product I received had a broken drawer and a part of the "cut out" section for the fan broke but the company quickly provided a replacement which seems to have none of the previous issues. The hight adjustment is great! The cooling fan is a nice feature and the drawer is handy.

About the only thing I would like is for the finish to be a bit smoother overall, but it is a nice product for the money. If for some reason yours has some issues, I recommend contacting the seller as they were VERY responsive and the customer service I received was first rate! :D

This is a handy product. I love that it folds up for easy storage. I have used my ASUS 17.3" gaming laptop on this table and I can still fit a mousepad to the right of it if I let the laptop hang over the left edge just a bit (the rubber feet of the laptop are all on the table), and it fits nicely, altho I cannot take advantage of the tilting main tray surface (well honestly I haven't tried it, but I don't really need to tip it - I think it would be awkward with such a heavy object on it).

There was no assembly required, but the lip under the fan that holds stuff in place when the tray is tipped falls out when I store it. Some wood glue will fix that tho. The drawer isn't very big, but you could get some writing utensils and a small notepad or some sticky notes in it.

This would be an awesome book tray as well. Altho because of the cutout in the main part of the tray for the fan, it might not be a good art tray unless you put something under the paper or used a notebook or pad.

I was pretty excited about this tray for many reasons, not the least of which is the little fan to cool my clunky computer down while on my lap. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the product once it arrived. First, one of the blades on the fan was clearly broken off. Broken off and in fact placed deliberately in the drawer that comes attached to the stand. Not a huge deal because the fan still works, but suspect all the same. After I set the stand up, it was obvious that the stand had been used. The cup holder looked a little dirty and the cut out in the center of the stand was broken in a few places.

Buyer beware of the legs on this stand. I think I could have worked around this but it should be noted that the legs aren't really stable if you adjust them using the little knobs. It's nice that the height can change, much like it's nice that the surface of the stand can be propped up for different viewing angles, but it just isn't all that stable as it's presently constructed. If you don't have an obviously flat surface or if you move this around a lot, I could potentially foresee a little unpleasantness trying to readjust on the fly. It should also be noted that the surface that can be lifted really only fits a laptop 15 inches or smaller -- my little (but heavy) 11 inch fits pretty much just right. Still, all this could be forgivable for most folks including myself, I'd think, if the darned thing wasn't seemingly mishandled by a prior owner before it got to me.

I do like the concept of this tray though (bamboo, the fan, the mini-drawer, the lift-capable surface) and am still considering reordering to see whether I just received a dud -- it depresses me that I have to bother sending it back in because it came used though. Design flaws aside, that's just downright bad business.

I've been using this cooling pad for several weeks now and I am quite pleased with it. I selected this particular pad because I have had very good experience with other Logitech products and I felt that this item offered the most desirable features for the price.

1) This cooling pad has a low profile and is not very bulky. It's perfect for using on a desk.
2) The light padding on the bottom surface also allows it to be used comfortably on your lap or resting on a piece of upholstered furniture.
3) The cooling fan has two speeds. Low is virtually silent, high is audible but not objectionable.
4) The combination on/off switch and speed selector is conveniently attached to the USB cord.
5) The USB cord can be used either to the left/right or back of the pad and can be stored in a channel at the bottom of the pad.
6) The high fan speed cools down my laptop fairly quickly
